Common Mistakes in CVs and How to Fix Them

Making a CV can be very time consuming and needs attention. Most of the time writing up a CV is something people leave out till the last minute. People tend to forget to update their CV, some have very messily made ones. At the end of the day your CV is what makes you stand out in the interview, and you should be careful about the common mistakes you might make in the process of making the said CV.

  • Spelling and grammar errors: Last minute CV's tend to have a lot of mistakes in terms of grammar and spelling. Even if it is last minute make sure to proofread carefully. go through every line you have put into your Cv and make sure grammatically it is right.
  • Overloading with information: In the last blog we emphasized on keep it concise and relevant. being straight to point is one of the many things recruiters look for in candidates. Bombarding them with an information overload is a no go!!!

  • Using a generic template: the CV should be your own, it should enunciate your achievement.

  • Ignoring keywords: always use keyword to keep track of how similar your CV is to the requirements of the job posting
